The bath did finally start working, so we were able to clean off the mud. By this time Susie had arrived, with her friend Pauline from Australia and Pauline's friend Pat. We made some dips and crudites and crackers, and popped the corks. The weather was perfect, the dips tasty, the wine delicious and the company genial. That is always a very nice way to while away the waning hours of the day. Here is Hiro getting a bit sleepy on Victoria's knee.
