Now it was time for dinner. We had a barbecue - Japanese style, which means cooking the food in a central grill that all the guests sit around, helping themselves and piling more food on the barbie. I brought pies - chicken, mince and bacon and egg. There was also lot of beef, poached trout (in foil on the barbie) fried tofu and varoius other things apparently but the wine was good!
The kids stayed up way too late, got tired and demanded to be put to bed. At first they just played at sleeping, it was too exciting especially as Sahara joined them in bed! By this tie the barbie was winding up anyway, so while the others went to make tea I darkened the room and quietened them down. Then I went up to Victoria's kitchen where all the ladies, except for Kristen who had gone to bed with her baby earlier, were drinking chai and eating snacks. Tea notwithstanding I soon felt sleepy and got to bed before midnight, which was necessary after such a long day, with another one to come tomorrow
