We arrived at about 11:30, much to Victoria's surprise, she also thought it would take us much longer to get there! Kristen was already there, they had arrived at 7:30am! They got on the expressway at 3am to take advantage of a discount. I suppose it's all the same when you have a six-month old baby. Little Hiro is gorgeous, and she was breastfeeding him in the old guest kitchen where Victoria was preparing food when we arrived (there are four kitchen in total - Victoria's private kitchen on the second floor of the house, her MIL's private kitchen on the ground floor, the kitchen attached to the temple guest room and this old one attached to the old temple guest house). Seeing a little baby breastfeeding always brings back such warm and tingly feelings. They look so sweet and contented nuzzling away.
We were in time for lunch, though I had packed a lunch to eat in the car. So I added my sandwiches to the picnic table in the moss garden out the back of the house, beside the temple. And we sat around in this beautiful garden, eating okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) and my sandwiches and had a nice relaxing gin and tonic while the kids played on the hammock
