It was a lovely river for swimming and playing and exploring. We crossed a bridge fifty just down the road from the temple, and went off the road down a grassy slope to enter the river. There was a natural waterfall to the left, but we went right, through a shallow rocky area, under the bridge we had just crossed, to a wider, but still shallow and rocky area that gradually deepened just before this concrete waterfall. The water fell to a flat, not-even-ankle-length platfrom, then fell again into a waist-deep pool. Even I got in! The water was cool, but perfect once you got it. The waterfall was fantastic fun, we all enjoyed standing under it. As you can see we were all wearing shoes - there were some dodgy things in the bottom of that river! Victoria's boys started crab-hunting, then caught a fish while I held up the rock it was hiding under. We came back thoroughly refreshed, if a little muddied, to be told by Victoria that the bath was not working....
